Jerry Hall's net worth has no official figure. Published estimates this month run from about £20m (Daily Mail) to $70m, roughly £53m (Celebrity Net Worth), and as high as £200m (The Sun). The facts we can actually check are a modelling fortune built in the 1970s and 80s, two settlements whose amounts were never disclosed, an art sale that raised £2.4m, and an Oxfordshire house reportedly bought for £11.25m.

Hall, 70, is one of 21 famous faces in The Celebrity Traitors series 2, which started on BBC One on 1 October 2026. As soon as the line-up was announced, the "rich lists" followed, and the papers printed wildly different numbers for her. Here is what each number stands on, and what is simply guesswork.

Why Jerry Hall's net worth estimates differ

The spread is the story. On 1 October the Daily Mail's Celebrity Traitors rich list put Hall at "around £20million". The same day, The Sun crowned her the richest contestant at £200million. Somewhere in between sits Celebrity Net Worth at $70m, a figure AOL and the Mirror converted to about £53m.

None of the three shows its working. Hall has never published a personal figure, she is not on the Sunday Times Rich List, and our search of Companies House found no officer record we could match to her: the "Jerry Hall" officers listed there have different birth dates, so we have not attributed them to her. That leaves a top estimate ten times the bottom one.

The honest answer is that the public record does not show which estimate is closest. Neither of her two big settlements was ever disclosed, and past sales or purchase prices say little about what she owns today. What the record does show is set out below.

The modelling money

Her own career came first. When her marriage to Mick Jagger was annulled in 1999, the BBC described her as "already a millionairess thanks to a successful modelling career".

That career peaked in the late 1970s and 1980s. She fronted Yves Saint Laurent's Opium fragrance campaign, shot by Helmut Newton in 1977, had a Revlon deal and appeared on more than 40 magazine covers, Vogue among them. Acting followed, including the role of Alicia in Tim Burton's Batman in 1989, and in 2000 she took over as Mrs Robinson in the West End production of The Graduate. None of these fees were made public, so there is no honest way to total them.

Mick Jagger: an annulment, not a divorce

Hall met Jagger in 1977 and they had a Hindu ceremony in Bali in 1990. In August 1999 the High Court in London ruled that the ceremony was not a valid marriage under Indonesian or English law and granted a decree of nullity. The BBC noted that the annulment avoided what had been expected to be "a long and costly court battle".

Their lawyers announced a "mutually acceptable legal and financial settlement" and kept the terms private. The BBC reported at the time that Hall had been seeking a £30m share. That was her reported starting point, not what she received. Spain's El País estimated it at around £10m in July 1999, and the New York Post reported in August that it was believed to be worth "at least $16m". Neither figure was confirmed. You will often see the £30m quoted as if it were paid. It was not confirmed.

The art sale: £2.4m at Sotheby's

One number in this story is solid because it happened in a public auction room, although an auction total is not the same as money still held today. In October 2010, Hall sold 14 works from her collection at Sotheby's London. The BBC reported that the sale fetched £2.4m.

  • Lucian Freud, Eight Months Gone, a portrait of Hall while pregnant: £601,250, twice its estimate.
  • Frank Auerbach, Head of Helen Gillespie: £1,071,650, above its £700,000–£900,000 estimate.
  • Andy Warhol, Dollar Sign, a gift from the artist: £217,250.

Four pieces went unsold. "At a certain age you just want to just get rid of things," Hall said at the time.

Rupert Murdoch: two houses and an undisclosed sum

Hall married Rupert Murdoch in London in 2016. News of the split broke in June 2022. On 1 July she filed in Los Angeles Superior Court citing "irreconcilable differences", and on 11 August their lawyers said they had "finalized their divorce" and would "remain good friends", according to the Los Angeles Times. No terms were released.

What has been reported since:

  • Holmwood House, a Grade II-listed Georgian house near Henley-on-Thames, which the couple reportedly bought for £11.25m in 2019, per the Oxford Mail. That is a 2019 purchase price, not a current valuation.
  • A home in the south of France, plus an undisclosed cash sum, as reported by The Guardian and repeated by Business Insider.
  • A "Succession" clause: Vanity Fair reported in 2023 that the settlement barred her from giving story ideas to the writers of the HBO drama.

Press reports in 2022 attached cash figures to the settlement that ranged widely. None was confirmed by either side, so we have left them out. The Oxford Mail's summary of the coverage at the time is a fair one: newspapers expected Hall to be entitled to "tens of millions", most likely paid as cover for her everyday expenses rather than one lump sum.

What Celebrity Traitors pays

The BBC does not disclose contestant fees, so any number you see is speculation. What is public is the prize: the winners play for up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice, says the BBC. Hall will not take that money home either way.

She is not the only cast member whose wealth has been talked up. We went through the filed accounts of James Blunt, Ross Kemp and host Claudia Winkleman. Hall is different: our Companies House search found no officer record we could match to her, so there were no company accounts for us to read. That does not tell you her personal net worth either way.

Every headline figure for Jerry Hall, from £20m to £200m, is an estimate. The checkable parts are a modelling career, a £2.4m art sale in 2010, a house reportedly bought for £11.25m in 2019 and two settlements whose amounts stayed private.
