Claudia Winkleman's net worth is usually put at around £9 million, but that number has been doing the rounds since at least 2019. Her own company's accounts tell a more recent story: Little Owl Productions Limited, the firm she has run since 2003, reported net assets of £2.9 million at 30 April 2025, almost three times its 2023 figure. With The Celebrity Traitors back on BBC One, here is what the filings show and what they leave out.

Where the £9 million figure comes from

Search for Claudia Winkleman's net worth and you will mostly find £9 million. Wealth magazine Spear's used that number in January 2019, describing it as a "reported" net worth, at a time when she was still fronting Strictly and writing for the Sunday Times. Heart puts it at £9.4 million, and HELLO! repeated £9 million when she announced her Strictly exit in October 2025. None of them shows its workings.

So treat £9 million as a ballpark that has been recycled for years, not as an audited total. Since 2019 she has hosted four series of The Traitors, the first series of The Celebrity Traitors and a chat show of her own, so an estimate set before all that is unlikely to be the whole picture. Her personal net worth has never been publicly verified.

What Little Owl Productions' accounts actually show

The firmest numbers come from Companies House filings. Winkleman is the sole director of Little Owl Productions Limited (company number 04802881), and the person with significant control. The accounts report an average of one employee, including the director, and it files small-company accounts, so there is no profit and loss account on the public record, only a balance sheet. That balance sheet has grown quickly.

Year to 30 AprilCash at bankNet assets
2023£1,213,990£1,047,234
2024£2,170,711£1,575,279
2025£3,542,741£2,906,985

Net assets rose by about £1.33 million in the year to April 2025, and the company owed £575,167 in corporation tax at the year end, against £221,489 a year earlier. City AM, reporting on the same filing in November 2025, estimated that she earned around £2 million that year. Treat that as an estimate: the public accounts disclose neither her personal income nor the company's profit and loss.

One caveat matters here. Money held in a company is not the same as personal wealth. Whatever Winkleman has paid herself as salary or dividends over the years sits outside these figures, and so does anything she owns personally.

How Claudia Winkleman makes her money

The Traitors

The Traitors launched on BBC One in 2022 and became one of the BBC's biggest entertainment hits. It won her the 2023 BAFTA for Best Entertainment Performance. Her fee has never been published. The show is made by an independent production company, Studio Lambert, and the BBC is not required to disclose pay for talent on programmes it buys in, so her Traitors earnings never appear in its annual salary list. The Celebrity Traitors series two started on 1 October 2026 with a cast that includes James Blunt, Jerry Hall and Michael Sheen.

Strictly Come Dancing

Winkleman joined the Strictly family on It Takes Two in 2005 and co-hosted the main show with Tess Daly from 2014. On 23 October 2025 the pair announced they would step down after series 23, signing off with the 2025 Christmas special. The last time the public saw her BBC pay was the first talent report in 2017, which put her at £450,000 to £499,999 for Strictly, Radio 2 and The Great British Sewing Bee, the highest of any woman on the list. Once Strictly moved to BBC Studios, the corporation's commercial arm, her pay dropped out of the disclosures. Heart reports a Strictly fee of around £180,000 a year, which we could not confirm.

Radio, a chat show and everything else

  • BBC Radio 2: a Saturday mid-morning show from 2020 to 2024.
  • The Claudia Winkleman Show: a seven-episode Friday-night series on BBC One in early 2026, made with Graham Norton's So Television. On 16 July 2026 she said she would not do a second series because she was "too nervous to enjoy it".
  • Other TV: The Piano and Channel 4's One Question are among the shows City AM listed in its report on her company accounts.

Property and personal assets

Spear's reported in 2019 that she bought her central London home for £3.25 million in 2006. We have not seen a current valuation, and any mortgage or other personal finances are private.

Is Claudia Winkleman richer than other TV presenters?

The public figures cannot answer that reliably. Most presenters route their earnings through companies with different year ends, and company balances say little about personal wealth. Lorraine Kelly, for instance, has decades of ITV work behind her company, and Graham Norton took home £2.4 million in 2024 from So Television, according to the same City AM report. What the filings do show is that Winkleman's company has grown quickly since 2023.

For other British broadcasters, see our profiles of Monty Don and Peter Kay, which use Companies House filings in the same way.

What the accounts reveal about Claudia Winkleman's wealth

The £9 million estimate predates The Traitors. The only hard numbers are in Little Owl Productions' accounts: £2.9 million of net assets and £3.5 million of cash at April 2025, held by her company rather than by her personally. Her next filing, covering the year to April 2026 and a full run of The Traitors and Strictly, is due at Companies House by the end of January 2027.
