Published estimates put Kimi Antonelli's net worth at $8m to $18m (about £6m to £13.4m), and Net Worth Radar's modelled range stretches to $20m (£14.9m). None can be checked against disclosed accounts. Forbes estimated his 2025 earnings at $12.5m, and unconfirmed reports put his 2026 total, title bonus included, at $11m to $13.8m.
Antonelli sealed the 2026 title in Mexico City on Sunday night, finishing third behind Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. He needed ninth. At 20, he beats the record Sebastian Vettel set at 23 in 2010, and he is the first Italian champion since Alberto Ascari in 1953. The money is harder to pin down than the record: public estimates put his pay well below the sport's highest salaries, and Mercedes hasn't confirmed any of them.

Why the net worth estimates are so far apart
Four published numbers are doing the rounds, and the highest is more than double the lowest.
| Source | Estimate | What it says about method |
|---|---|---|
| Celebrity Net Worth | $18m (~£13.4m) | No published calculation |
| PlanetF1 (August 2026) | $15m (~£11.2m) | Says a $12.5m Mercedes contract makes up most of it |
| Net Worth Radar | $14m (~£10.5m), range $10.25m–$20m | Modelled, assuming he keeps about half of his pay |
| F1 Salaries | $8m (~£6m), range $8m–$18m | Counts only money paid so far, after tax |
These sites work from different assumptions about contract value, retained pay, tax and payment timing, and most give too little detail to reconcile their figures. Mercedes doesn't publish driver pay and Antonelli hasn't disclosed his finances. We'd treat all four as educated guesses. F1 Salaries rates its own figure as low-certainty, which is at least candid.
What reports estimate he earns at Mercedes
The strongest public number is Forbes's estimate for 2025: $12.5m, made up of a $5m base and $7.5m in bonuses, tenth among all drivers. Forbes says it draws on financial documents, legal filings, press reports and insiders. Its total leaves out outside income and doesn't deduct tax, so it isn't take-home pay.
For 2026 the reports disagree, sometimes while quoting the same newspaper:
- Base salary: GPblog cites Bild for $2m, while Athlon Sports cites Bild for about €4m (~£3.3m). F1 Salaries lists $3.4m.
- Total with a title bonus: Bild's figure is just under €10m, or about $11m (~£8.2m). Athlon also relays Sport e Finanza's roughly €12m ($13.8m, ~£10.3m) and SportMediaset's €10m–€12m.
- Title bonus alone: no reliable figure. Athlon notes that Bild's report gives neither the size of the bonus nor a breakdown.
Whichever base is right, he has spent the season out-driving people who earn far more. Il Mattino reported team-mate George Russell on about $34m (~£25m) and Verstappen on about $70m (~£52m). The closest recent comparison is Lando Norris, who Forbes estimated made $57.5m (~£43m) in his 2025 title year, including $39.5m in bonuses.
A rough sum: what two seasons could add up to
Add Forbes's 2025 estimate to the reported 2026 totals and you get $23.5m to $26.3m (£17.6m to £19.6m). This is our arithmetic across estimates. It isn't verified take-home pay or net worth. Public reports don't establish the 2026 figures' tax treatment or when any bonus is paid, and the sum leaves out agents' fees, other costs and investment returns.
That is why pay alone can't get you to a net worth. The $18m estimate can't be derived from this total, because his taxes, expenses, investments, liabilities and other income aren't public. F1 Salaries' $8m is about 30% of the $26.3m it counts as career earnings, and the site expects its figure to rise once title bonuses arrive.
Sponsors and outside income
Reported off-track money is small so far. Il Mattino puts his personal sponsorship income at about $1.5m (~£1.1m) and names IWC Schaffhausen, Monster Energy, Alpinestars and AKM Motorsport. His father, Marco, owns AKM Motorsport, and no contract values have been published. F1 Salaries describes his IWC, Police and adidas work as coming through Mercedes partners, so its reading of his personal income is smaller still. A world title could change those conversations, though that is our expectation and not income.
San Marino, not Monaco
Antonelli has been in San Marino since 2024, about two hours from his Bologna home town. When Prince Albert II told Corriere della Sera that he was thinking of moving to the principality, his father replied: "We're fine and don't need to change right now." That speaks to current plans and doesn't rule out a later move.
Reports differ on his tax position. Il Mattino describes a special residency regime with favourable treatment for athletes, while F1 Salaries cites Fanpage saying he pays under the ordinary regime, after the outlet dropped an earlier 7% figure. We can't settle that from public sources, and it's one more reason to be wary of any after-tax estimate.
What could change next
Antonelli is understood to be retained by Mercedes for 2027, and Athlon relays an ANSA report that his deal runs through 2028 and that both sides want to strengthen it. GPblog suggests a new contract could come over the winter. Neither report is confirmed, and no value has been attached. The gap between his pay and that of Verstappen, or even Oscar Piastri, is what his agents will presumably want to talk about.
Published point estimates run from $8m to $18m (£6m to £13.4m), and Net Worth Radar's modelled range reaches $20m (£14.9m). The title bonus and its payment date are unconfirmed, and no single net worth figure is verified.
